Jordan got a new job! Finally....

As of Novemeber 5th, I will be the newest employee at the Keizer Station Starbucks. So, for those of you in the area.. That's where you can find me...

ugghh....

I am sitting in my Computer Information Sciences class right now bored out of my mind.... I am sure this class is helpful for someone, but I am finding it a weird combination of things to learn. Anywhere from basic stupid stuff, to stuff that is actually worthwhile learning... All in all, I guess it's not so bad.. but there are times like now that I fight sleep..

School....

It is that time of year once again.. School has begun, and Fall is rapidly approaching... It has actually been rather refreshing. I went outside today, and the cool, moist, overcast day was quite enjoyable.. The scent in the air was heavenly... Overall these days; I am doing really well.. Still looking for a job, but life is good... stressful at times, but I have peace. so.. that is good... anyways... until next time...

Life....

As of late, I have been faced with some rather stressful circumstances... I have been challenged in areas that are not easy for me to overcome quite yet... I have taken on the challenges, and am confident I will come through.. but it is tough none the less... I know I will be a stronger more wise person in the end... I will be starting school again in about 3 weeks, and in the meantime will be looking for a new job... yes, my previous job has not been good to me to say it like that... I learned many things from that situation, however... but anyway... I am doing pretty well all things considered.. I am just in one of those times where I am trying to figure out what I am doing.. I know I am going to school and volunteering at church and being there for family and friends and all of that, but I am starting to feel stagnant... I am not sure if that is the best word to be using.. but that is kind of how I am feeling... I got so used to being in YWAM and going from adventure to adventure... it has definitely been a challenge this past year just being in one place.. away from all you guys across the globe... I miss you and love you all soooo much... I realize it regularly when my mind travels back to all those good memories... I know that I have not seen the last of my time in Norway... it is definitely on the horizon for me in the not so distant future.. I cannot say for sure how long, but withing the next couple of years I think... I will at least be visiting periodically before then, but will hopefully be coming in a more long term capacity within a relatively short while..

I just talked with my good friend Lyndee on the phone a couple hours ago and got caught up on things.. she is trying to adjust from just moving back home from Norway after being there a long period of time... I can totally relate to how she is feeling... it is a hard thing to leave somewhere after being there so long...

I don't have any really recent pictures to share with you all, but here are a few from my trip to California with the families... it was quite the trip... lots of fun and adventure... and danger.... =)

Driving south...

From Norway, to Denmark, to Germany, and finally Switzerland.. We started our journey in Norway where we jumped on a large ferry that took us to the north of Denmark. From there, we drove south 7 hours until we arrived in Hannover, Germany. Our friend Julia put us up for the night, and the next day we continued on to a small place outside of Heidelberg. There, we stayed with my friend Christina. the next morning, we made our way to Stuttgart, which is a little over an hour away, to stay with Kenneth's friend from DTS, Moritz. That is where I am writing from. From here, we will head to Lausanne, Switzerland to meet up with another friend of Kenneth's from DTS and will then drop off my mom at her new home in Essertines-Sur-Rolle, Switzerland. It has been a really fun trop so far. I have been the only driver, so I find myself a little tired when we come to the places we are visiting, but it is worth it. Driving 210 Km/h (125 mph) legally on the Autobahn in our 2007 Volvo V50 stationwagon is quite a thrill... that is the way it should be.... Amazing how quickly you get to your destinations... haha.. anyway... until next time!

Good to be back...

It is an amazing feeling to be back in my second home. I have been here a few days now and it is so nice that I don't have the need to go see anything.. I just get to relax and visit friends and "family". Being here again reminds me that part of my life will always be here. It is part of me. I won't ever forget it. When looking back on my life, and seeing how different events shaped my life, I admit that a large part of that shaping was done here. To forget that, is to forget where you come from. I have two homes.

Europe!!!

Well, the time has nearly come. I leave Thursday for Europe. I am über excited... It is such a cool blessing that my whole family will be joining me over there for a couple weeks. This will be the first big trip outside the U.S. we have taken as a family.. We all went to Mexico in 99, but that was different... I am looking very much forward to it...

Norgay in June!

Well, it's official.. I will be headed to Norway on the 12th of June... I am pretty stoked.. my whole family will be going.. not at the same time as I, but going none the less... It should be a fun time... anyway.. I got homework.. until next time..

Shadows and dust...

The latest in my life is that of my grandmother passing on this morning. She went to be with Jesus at 6 this am. There is, however, comfort in the fact that she is in a better place.

Other than that, there is not a whole lot to say. I am doing really well actually. Aside from the loss of my grandmother, I am really enjoying life. School is going well, and it is good to be in this place for the time being. I am really excited for what is to come in the next year/s.

Network Intermission

Network Intermission...
My sister and the worship team from church led worship at the AG pastor's convention last week. I was asked to do sound. All in all it went well, the sound system I had to patch into was a bit of a pain, but I made it work. The end result was rather good. People loved it and were constantly praising the worship team. It was a great few days...
The guest speaker Jeff Lucas expressed his appreciation for the quality of worship the team led everyone in.

I haven't been too good at the updating thing lately, but I am going to get back on top of it... I figured it was time for a facelift, so here is an attempt...

Lately, I have just been doing the school, work, church, life thing... All in all, it is going well.. I am passing all my classes... I am working.. a lot... kind of... I am helping my church out a lot... and I am enjoying the people I am surrounded by... pretty soon, I will post some pics and more specific updates..

Well, time is rolling by rather swiftly these days.. It seems only a few days before yesterday that I was packing up and leaving Norway. Now, 4 months have gone by and I am living in the United States, working 25+ hours a week while going to school , getting pretty involved with church, and of course, enjoying the Beamer... A lot has changed... and right now I am a bit sweaty from being at the gym... one thing I have not gotten enough of while living in Norway; excercise...

umm...

so, I feel that I have nothing to talk about at the moment, but I want to have something so you guys can have something to read... as far as updates go, I am doing well. I am going to school and working A LOT.. I am loving my car... it is a real blessing... and I am doing a lot of homework every night before i go to bed... Often, I fall asleep during my homework...

I haven´t had much to write about till now..

Well, I have officially started school. It is going well... I am working anywhere between 24 and 30 hours a week... I just bought a car!!! I am doing pretty well... very happy... for those reading this, drop me a line!

And this is the sound of the exhaust before I upgrade it a bit.. not bad as is though...

wow... I am so lame....

I have not even touched this thing in weeks... my bad... Anyways... so, I am still loving it in Salem. I just got hired on at Costco (akkurat det samme som Smart Club) working in the photo lab... haha.. yeah... and I also have another part time offer to think about... it would be pretty rad if I did it.... I will let you know when it is a sure thing...

As far as what I have been up to lately... I have done a lot of chilling and hanging out with people... been to the lake..... worked around the house... just enjoyed life in Oregon.... In Salem...

Well, as of Thursday afternoon, I have been back in Salem. I am back for those of you who do not yet know. I will be around for some time now I guess... It is very nice to be back. I am really looking forward to the coming months and even years.. For dere som er fortsatt i Norge...jeg savner dere veldig.. håper vi sees igjen snart. Vi snakkes!

In Tønsberg....

Now, I am staying with a good friend of mine until I leave on Thursday morning... It has been a rather sad last couple days.... I am, however, enjoying my last days in Norway... Anyway... not much more to say right now..

the last days....

Well, these past days have been full of practical work. We have been tearing off the roof of our base in order to replace it with one that does not leak. We were just able to purchase the building, which is a long time prayer answer. The base will now be remodelled on the top floor. it is an unbelievable sight... As you can see pictured above... For those of you who have seen what it looked like before, you know what I am talking about... major difference.... It is cool to see these things finally take place after about 5 years of prayer for it to happen... God is faithful

This Friday is going to be the beginning of a crossroads for me... I will be leaving Skien for good. I will stay at a friend´s place about an hour from Skien, then I will fly out on the 21st for Portland. These past 5 years have just flown by in a way... It is weird to think they are gone.. I am, however, really excited for what is to come. Until next time-
